Saint Tryphon loved God and always Prayed to Him, even when he was working tending to geese, which is something he did since his childhood. Saint Tryphon is known to be a protector of farmers, fields, gardens and vineyards. Even after his Martyrdom, Saint Tryphon desired for his body to be buried in his village of Lampsacus where he once tended geese, so after his repose he appeared in a vision expressing this desire and the transfer of his body.
