On September 3rd, 1953, the Tomb of Saint Nektarios was opened by the Nuns in the Monastery where he was buried.
Hymn: Father, when they opened up thy tomb, there was a sweet fragrance that spilled out on all those standing there. Then thy Holy Relics were revealed for all to see, showing signs of abundant Grace; for they were like flowers of the future Glory, sending out their fragrant scent. Therefore we established this Feast Day to remember their disinterment and to honour thee, O Saint Nektarios.
