When Christ was a young child, the two Holy Angels Archangel Michael and Archangel Gabriel appeared to Him to tell Him of His future Passion and Crucifixion. Archangel Gabriel was holding a Cross, and Archangel Michael a spear and sponge on a reed. The young child Christ was scared upon seeing these instruments of torture, and ran into the arms of His Most Holy Mother. He ran so fast that one of His sandles fell off His foot.
