Saint Kallistheni and Saint Adauctus Pray to God for us.
Saint Kallistheni was to marry the emperor, however he was a pagan, so Saint Kallistheni’s father, Saint Adactus, did not allow the marriage. Saint Adauctus was then stripped of his wealth, exiled and beheaded. For some time afterwards, Saint Kallistheni hid with a woman, and she healed the woman’s daughter of an eye ailment. Saint Kallistheni later on regained her father’s wealth and gave it all away to the poor. She brought back her father’s body to Ephesus and built a Church dedicated to him, and lived the rest of her life devoted to Christ.
