Feast Day: September 2nd
Saint Theodotus and Saint Rufina are the parents of Saint Mamas. They were very pious Christians, and they refused to worship the pagan gods. Saint Theodotos was thrown into prison, and Saint Rufina who was pregnant at the time, followed her husband and stayed in the prison with him. She feared her husband would not be able to endure tortures, so she Prayed for God to take his Soul, Saint Theodotos then reposed in the Lord. Saint Rufina endured many privations and sufferings in prison, and Saint Mamas was born prematurely. She Prayed God would receive her Soul and she then joined her husband and Christ in Heaven. Saint Mamas was left an orphan but was raised by a Christian woman named Ammia.
