Saint Zosimas had the great Blessing of meeting Saint Mary of Egypt and to hear of her Ascetic life of repentance. He also ministered to her the Most Precious Body and Blood of Our Lord God and Saviour Jesus Christ, and he buried her Holy Body with the assistance of a nearby lion. It is because of Saint Zosimas that God brought to light the life of the Holy Virgin Ascetic of Repentance, our most dear Saint Mary of Egypt.
