By Divine instruction, Saint Iakovos compiled the first Divine Liturgy by writing Prayers to be said by Priests when they celebrated the Divine Mysteries Our Lord commissioned the Apostles to do in remembrance of Him. The Divine Liturgy of Saint Iakovos the Brother of the Lord was the earliest Liturgy celebrated by the Christians for 350 years, and it is today celebrated each year on his Feast Day.
