Saint Moses was frequently struggling with temptations, and he found relief kneeling before his Elder Saint Isidore and confessing his sins. When he was Baptised and publicly confessed his past sins in the Church, Saint Macarius saw a tablet that was all black, representing the sins of Saint Moses. He then saw an Angel wiping off every sin as Saint Moses confessed it, then the tablet was completely white.
“Without the power of the Spirit which Our Lord gave us in Baptism for the fulfilling of His Commandments, which is confirmed in us each day by the taking of His Body and Blood, we cannot be purified from the passions, and we cannot vanquish devils, and we cannot perform the works of Spiritual excellence.” – Saint Isodore said to Saint Moses
“Throw your weakness before God, and the Lord will become your strength.”
“Beloved, since you still have a chance, return back to Christ with sincere repentance.”
