Saint Eleutherios was tortured greatly for his love for Christ. He was flogged, roasted on an iron bed, boiled in pitch, and burned in a fiery furnace but he was delivered from all these Miraculously by God. He was finally beheaded. When his mother Saint Anthia came and stood over the body of her son Saint Eleutherios, embracing him, she too was beheaded.
